ID14 review and test


This is a review of my new interface ID14. I wanted to update my home-studio interface based around the digital audio workstation (DAW) Pro Tools.

Audient releases that wonderful audio interface ID14 with so many features.I liked so much the product video of this interface ID14 so i took the risk and i am very satisfied! .I tested some of my projects on pro tools and i saw the difference !

The preamps are very clear and quiet and the sound you get! smooth, clean, powerful sound so far away from my previous interface focusrite scarlett 6i6!!!

Very professional, like you would find in a professional studio. Just what´s needed for mixing and mastering on a high level.This interface can drive until 600ohm heaphones without amp.

My previous interface focusrite scarlett 6i6 couldnt drive well my headphones Akg k271 mk2 so that was really annoying. It works both on mac and windows with stable drivers

the DI is awesome too - I recorded an acoustic guitar and and once again, I’m really impressed by the sound quality.

iD14 can go down to 64 samples if your computer is good enough. But it does depend on your computer and how big are the projects you are using.

My focusrite scarlett 6i6 could go down to 128 samples but when i was using big projects the click and pops was really annoying..

Personal view

My mixing is easier, recording are so much easier with lower latency, and listening to music is just amazing, I'm blown away by this product

World class quality, solid build, and a slick design

The monitoring is extremely crisp and clear. It has become so much easier to EQ and mix the recordings that I make with the output sounding so transparent.

The headphone amp is also excellent, bringing clarity to your phones and allowing easy headphone mixes.

The drivers are very stable(No problem at all) The customer service is awsome too..

• Intel Core 2 @ 1.6 GHz, or AMD
equivalent
• 1 GB RAM Minimum



Price

This interface is value 4 money..Finally ID14 came to Greece and it cost €268

First you download the latest drivers from audient.com and connect the interface to your pc.
Then you download the latest firmware from the mixer application and thats it!
